Yun Zhao
Representative of the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, HCCH
Yun Zhao serves as the Representative of the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific at the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH). He is also the Henry Cheng Professor in International Law and Associate Dean for Mainland Affairs at the Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong. Yun Zhao holds a PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam, an LLM from Leiden University, and both an LLB and LLM from China University of Political Science and Law.
An accomplished scholar, he has authored numerous influential publications on topics ranging from electronic commerce and mediation to space law. His contributions to international law have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Prof. Dr. I.H.Ph. Diederiks-Verschoor Award, the Isa Diederiks-Verschoor Prize, and the SATA Prize by the Foundation for the Development of International Law in Asia.
