Janet Broadley
Mediator, Reunite
Janet Broadley is a lawyer, mediator and arbitrator specialising in domestic and international family law, particularly matters involving children. She has specific expertise in international child abduction, an area of law she has practiced in for nearly 20 years. Janet is an Accredited Specialist in child abduction and private children law matters and is a founding member of the Child Abduction Lawyers Association (CALA) and was Vice-Chair of CALA for 5 years organising practical workshops for solicitors.
Janet is on the English Central Authority’s panel of accredited child abduction solicitors and is a member of reunite international child abduction centre’s Legal Working Group which involves participation in government consultations and providing advice on government policy initiatives on behalf of reunite. Janet mediates in international child abduction cases at reunite and delivers training worldwide to promote the use and benefit of mediation. Janet has also been instructed on a number of cases by reunite to intervene on their behalf in cases between parents in order to assist the court on important issues regarding the application of the 1980 and 1996 Hague Convention in the jurisdiction of England & Wales.
