Keisuke Takeshita
Professor, Hitotsubashi University
Professor Keisuke Takeshita is a professor of private international law at the Graduate School of Law, Hitotsubashi University, where he has been a faculty member since 2015 and currently serves as Dean. His academic career includes appointments at Tohoku University and Tokyo Metropolitan University, and he previously served as a senior researcher in private international law at the Ministry of Justice of Japan. He began his professional path as a research assistant at the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law.
Professor Takeshita holds a B.A. in law from the University of Tokyo. His research focuses on the intersection of party autonomy and private international law, and he has contributed to both Japanese and international legal scholarship. His recent work appears in Changing Orders in International Economic Law: A Japanese Perspective (Routledge, 2024). In the same year, he received a Special Prize at the 30th Annual Conference of the Japanese Association of Natural Language Processing for a collaborative research project.
