Min Hui Gwak
Professor, Sookmyung Women's University
Min Hui Gwak is a Professor at the College of Law, Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, where she has taught since 2012. She holds a Doctor of Laws (Ph.D.) from Seoul National University and completed doctoral coursework at Tokyo University. Professor Gwak has actively contributed to various governmental committees, including the Committee for Conflict Management Deliberation, Committee for Regulatory Deliberation, and Committee for Immigration Policy under the Ministry of Justice. Currently, she serves on the Council for the Protection of Human Rights and Promotion of Rights of Foreigners.
An expert in family law and international child protection, Professor Gwak is a member of the Korean Society of Family Law and has been recognized with the Best Paper Award by the society in 2012. Her scholarly work, including research on the Hague International Child Abduction Convention and EU family law legislations, highlights her significant influence in both academic and policy-making circles related to family and human rights law.
