Jun Hyok Jang

Professor Jun Hyok Jang is a distinguished legal scholar at Sungkyunkwan University School of Law, where he has been a full professor since 2013. He previously held faculty positions at Kyung Hee University and gained practical legal experience as an associate attorney at Kim, Chang & Lee, as well as a member of Aram International Law Offices. Professor Jang’s academic journey includes advanced legal studies at Seoul National University, where he earned his Ph.D., and two LL.M. degrees from the University of Chicago and New York University in International Legal Studies.

His research interests are reflected in his published works, including Method of Legal Research and a co-authored comparative study on jurisdictional legal reforms in Japan and China commissioned by the Korean Ministry of Justice. Professor Jang’s combination of academic expertise and practical experience positions him as a leading figure in contemporary legal scholarship in Korea.
