Seokwoo Kim
Acting Minister, Ministry of Justice, Republic of Korea
Seokwoo Kim is the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea. He has held several key leadership roles within the Ministry, including President of the Institute of Justice (2023–2024), Deputy Minister for Legal Affairs (2022–2023), and Director of the Constitutional Issues Research Task Force (2021–2022). In these roles, he has contributed to important legal and policy developments in the Korean justice system.
His earlier career includes service as a prosecutor and in various senior prosecutorial positions, such as Deputy Chief Prosecutor at the Ulsan District Prosecutors’ Office and Director of the Criminal Department at the Seoul High Prosecutors’ Office. Vice Minister Kim holds a Bachelor of Laws from Seoul National University and is recognized for his expertise in legal administration and justice reform.
