Amy Held

Amy Held was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2019 and is an Affiliate Academic in the Common Law at the Department of European, Comparative, and International Law at the University of Vienna. She has maintained an academic specialisation in the private law aspects of cryptoassets and decentralised ledger technologies from national English law, comparative law, and private international law perspectives since 2017, with a particular focus on property law. Amy is actively involved with legislative initiatives on digitisation, both domestically within England and Wales and at the international level, whilst continuing to publish and lecture widely in both the academic and practitioner contexts. She currently leads a law reform project on digital assets and electronic trade documents in private international law at the Law Commission of England and Wales.
