Min Ji Kim
Research Fellow, Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice
Min Ji Kim is a Research Fellow at the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice (KICJ), where she has worked since 2022. Prior to this, she served as a Deputy Director at the Ministry of Justice from 2012 to 2022, and also contributed to legal education at the university level between 2011 and 2014. Her research focuses on family law, children’s rights, and adoption policies.
Ms. Kim has authored several significant publications, including works on legal criteria for determining parentage of children born through assisted reproductive technology, legal reforms in birth registration and child protection, and the role of central authorities under the Hague Intercountry Adoption Convention. Her dedicated public service has been recognized with multiple commendations from the Korean government, including awards from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Justice, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education.
