Gyooho Lee
Professor, Chung-Ang University, School of Law
Gyooho Lee is a professor at Chung-Ang University School of Law with expertise in civil procedure and intellectual property law. He holds a Doctor of Juridical Science degree from Washington University School of Law and a Master of Law in Asian Law from the University of Washington School of Law. He also earned a Master of Law in Civil Procedure from Yonsei University. His academic and professional focus includes international cultural property law, arbitration, and intellectual property rights.
Currently, Lee serves as President of The Association of International Cultural Property Law since 2015 and holds several key roles, including committee memberships at the Personal Information Protection Commission and the Presidential Council on Intellectual Property. He is also president-elect of the Korean Branch of the International Law Association and the Korean Association of Arbitration Studies. Additionally, Lee contributes as Vice President of the Korea Private International Law Association and participates actively in multiple international committees related to cultural heritage protection and intellectual property. He is also the director for the “Focus on Asia and Asian Legal Systems” section of a major academic journal on company law. Among his publications, Lee’s notable work includes a chapter on intangible cultural heritage and intellectual property protection in South Korea.
